Make it personal


I’ve got a confession to make: I’m bored of mental health advice. The same advice that you find online over and over again. We all know what we’re supposed to do.


Go outside, go for a walk, talk about how you feel with a trusted friend, get some daylight, get a hobby, make a to-do list, drink less caffeine, do what you can to get a good night of sleep…


WE KNOW!


Because it’s meant to apply to as many people as possible, I think that’s the thing that makes it bland.



Let's make it personal.



What about you? What are the moments in your life that bring up a feeling of Yep, this is a good day. This is how I want to be feeling.

Lots of therapy is about sharpening those observation tools. Turning your attention towards physical sensations that signal joy, pleasure, safety, calm.


Have a stretch. Tune in to how your body is feeling right now. Then ask yourself, kindly - what do you need today?
